Sonic free riders wii download6/6/2023 ![]() ![]() So if one doesn't like the motion controls, there's at least other options. Also that this game has a PS2 version with no motion controls. I'm looking at you, GameCube-intended Super Paper Mario. ![]() It's more egregious when one switches a game intended for traditional controls but shoehorns them in with less regard with the new controls. ![]() Another thing is that while some may not like that this version game was given GameCube controller support (symbol not on the box but in the Instruction Booklet) yet not Classic Controller support (in regards with the Wii U), at least the developers had bothered giving a traditional control scheme (not to mention that works well) for the game. I would like to explain a bit more, but it primarily consists of the presentation, a lack of the usual "boost" mechanic that the previous game had, and how the tricks are performed (although the last one makes sense with how the gravity mechanics work). One of the bigger issues I have with the game is that the sense of speed feels less prevalent in this game. With that said, the game does feel like a satisfactory sequel, albeit not perfect. Another change is that the game does is that before starting the story mode, the tutorial is made upfront and interactive, rather than the easily overlooked tutorial video in the predecessor. The latter change I'm personally not the biggest fan of. Old mechanics are also revised and/or simplified, such as the grinding having much longer jumps and automatically landing on rails, to tricks now being automatic and based on speed and which direction your holding when making the trick (don't be stale with the directions). The gameplay centers around a mix of mechanics from the previous game, but with new mechanics implemented into the game as well to give the game its own identity. Well, two improve, one goes a step backwards. Plus, I prefer this story as it feels more like a little adventure, plus the Babylon Rogues are a little more likable. ![]() The story is just as short as its predecessor, but that's fine when you consider the time this game was being developed. Gee, what a game! In this sequel to Sonic Riders, Team Sonic and the Babylon Rogues get caught in a little adventure centered around mysterious stones with the power to control gravity. ![]()
